Hiya!
You guys know that I buy books quite a lot, so why haven’t I made a book haul post? Well it was for this exact moment. Haha, kidding. I’ve just been lazy and I thought I’d do a master post midyear. I was hoping that by doing this I could see how many books I buy in 6 months and the results will help motivate me to buy less books in the future (or at least restrain from impulse buys).
Okay, with no further ado, let’s do this! (I am so crazy…)
Oh yeah, below each picture, I did type out all of the titles. If you want to know more info (like author, standalone/series, etc) click on the title, it should get you to the appropriate link on goodreads. (Initially, I tried to make image maps but I guess html coding is only for self-hosted sites. -___-)
And the titles I have strikethrough are obviously ones I’ve read before. I also have links to reviews I’ve made when they’re available!

The Diviners

So I also ordered 4 books (The Winner’s Curse, The Beginning of Everything, Broken Hearts, Fences, and Other Things to Mend, Amy & Roger’s Epic Detour) from bookoutlet last week, which are not pictured since they haven’t arrived yet.
Edit 6/13/15 (later in the day): The books came in the mail after all!
Total: 154 Books
(95% were bargain buys; don’t worry, I honestly didn’t spend that much!)
After seeing how ridiculously long this post became, I’ve resolved to not buying as many books in the future for sure. (And I’m definitely done for the rest of this month, hence why I decided to post this now.)
Thank you for taking a look, let me know what you’ve read and recommend (so I can move some of these up the TBR list)!
And have an awesome Sunday Saturday (I don’t know why I thought it was Sunday)! 😀
Woah, this is far more than an epic haul Summer! Have I told you how insanely jelous I feel right now…I really wish you were my neighbour. 😛 Other than that I’m at a loss of words.

Poulami, if you were my neighbor it would be so fun! We would gush about books every day. And, of course, I’d let you borrow books! 😉

Impressive. 🙂 Most of mine are library so I can’t do physical stacks like that, but I’d be really interested to do a genre breakdown. It’s very cool to see your books all sorted out.

Heh. Knowing what you like is at least half of enjoying what you read, I think. 🙂
Long term, my genre is definitely adult fantasy overall. But 2015 so far has been lots of YA, and much more scifi/dystopia than usual.

Thanks, Analee!! This post was ridiculous, and much longer than I expected it to be. Never let me go to a bookstore alone again, I’m clearly a maniac when it comes to bargain sales. I always reason that they’re part of a series I already own half of or that I will eventually buy them for full price in the future if I don’t get them now. My willpower is clearly so weak. 😛

Soo many books so little time aka the tragedy of my life 😦
But I enjoyed this post a lot. Especially the pics, well photographed..

Exactly! Buying books never help my TBR list. Also, the more I purchase the more confused with which one I should start with… (Maybe I should make a TBR jar like some of those booktubers.)
Thanks, Warisha! I’m so glad you liked this post; I was kind of worried that people would be annoyed with how long and delayed it was. And I actually took the photos on my phone, thankfully they came out okay.
By the way, I like your new display picture. Uber cute! 👌🏼

So jealous of your haul! 🙂 You got some really good books with great covers. I’ve been trying to get into more manga recently. I read a lot when I was in middle school but have since stopped. I’m currently reading the Fullmetal Alchemist series.

So.many.books. These pictures make me so happy. Out of curiosity, where do you usually purchase your books from?
I’m excited to see your review of the John Green books. Two of his movies are coming out this year, though honestly – not the ones I expected. I thought we’d see Looking for Alaska much sooner.
Anyway, just a note that we love your posts 🙂 – Anisha

I actually only buy books from my local bookstore, which is Books a Million, and bookoutlet. Of course, I prefer BAM just because I’m a member there and get free shipping whereas I have to pay if I buy from BO.
And thanks so much! You both have been so kind; thank you for always tuning in! 😀

Actually that’s the only section of my haul that was quite expensive to invest in. I usually buy my manga from Books a Million and only when they have a 3-for-2 sale. Plus, I shop there quite a lot so I use the coupons too. Good thing there’s online manga readers though; I tend to read from scans often (hence why I don’t mind the gaps in my collection so far). ^.^

Yeah I’m browsing from Books a Million too ever since you sent me that link. I haven’t tried purchasing though cos I’m not sure if they deliver in my country. And yes, free online mangas are the best! 😀

Holy crap, Summer! This is a TON of books. 😉 It’s probably the amount of books I get in the whole YEAR, haha. 🙂 There are rarely sales here (and if they are, they’re usually just 20% discounts and such), so I mostly get my books at full-price. 😦
You HAVE to read Where She Went ASAP. If I Stay was really meh for me, but I adored Where She Went. 🙂 I also see The House of Hades and Seraphina which I both loved (and The Blood of Olympus–which I did NOT like)! Also Cinder and Scarlet! ❤ Also Of Beast and Beauty. And The Winner’s Curse. And Amy & Roger’s–one of my all-time favorites! ❤
I read a bunch of other books here too that I didn’t like, but I won’t mention those any more since I’m not a party pooper. 😉

Right now, I’m eyeing Amy & Roger’s Epic Detour because it’s summer but the other comments are telling me to start the Grisha trilogy, haha. So conflicted.

Wow! Woah! So many books. I’m so jealous of you right now. These are beautiful and such a neat post. I’ve read most of them but still I want! Mail me a copy or two and I’d love you forever 😉 But seriously, this is perfect. You got all the John Green novels amd Sarah Dessen (I have to read more of her work) Then I’ve read Divergent, The Maze runner trilogy, the winner’s curse( read it as soon as you get it), Ender’s game, Opposition (read this as soon as you can), Delirium, The Lunar Chronicles (I would suggest waiting for the last book and then reading it because the waiting is just torture), Shadow and bone trilogy ( READ NOW!). I LOVE THE BANE CHRONICLES! And Days of Blood and starlight is amazing. The Vampire diaries books are really good and you’ve finished Nightshade so continue with that. And I know this comment has grown soooo long. But RAINBOW ROWELL. If you haven’t read Rainbow Rowell I don’t know what you’ve been doing. So I’m hoping you won’t mind this rant and actually read this long comment. Because if you aren’t, you wouldn’t know that I’m planning to steal your bookshelf. (And if you are reading…. JK) :-*

I’m loving that there’s so much Sarah Dessen, and I also recently read the Diviners and it was awesome, so I would definitely make that one a priority! I’ve also recently ordered Revealed by P.C. and Kristin Cast from the library. It’s bad, but I can’t wait to be finished with that series because it’s gone so downhill in my opinion, I hope the last book sums everything up well though!

Oh Summer, I’m so jealous! You have so many books!! In England it’s quite easy to buy cheap books from charity shops, I like the idea that someone else has read them before and spent emotional time over them, although I also understand the thrill of owning a fresh new book. If I can give you a suggestion, you should definitely get A Thousand Splendid Suns by Khaled Hosseini. I was a bit disappointed by And the Mountains Echoed but The Kite Runner is breathtaking! xx
LikeLiked by 1 person
Haha, don’t be! The only downside to having so many books is that it limits my shelf space. (And it will be a nightmare when I move out from my dad’s house later on. Or I could just leave of them with him, I guess). And sometimes I buy books that probably weren’t worth it (that’s why I only wait for them to be super cheap).
And I usually buy my books from two places: my local bookstore, which happens to be Books a Million, or BookOutlet, an online shop. And usually the bargain prices are a steal, usually only a couple of dollars for new hardbacks/paperbacks. 🙂
And that is so cool! I would totally go book thrifting except we don’t have many used bookstores where I live in SC. Plus, like I said, the new ones are for ridiculously cheap too.
And thanks for the Hosseini heads up, Assia! I’ll start with The Kite Runner then, and I’ll try to get a hold of A Thousand Splendid Suns. I’ve heard fantastic things about ATSS from other readers as well. 🙂

That is an insane amount of books. I thought the first few pics was all the books you bought before I realized you had an entire separate section for the YA novels. The Diviners could fit under a couple of sections – Historical fiction and paranormal fiction being two but I guess that’s part of the difficulty of classifying books.
I’d comment on a lot of the books you bought but then the comment would be ridiculously long so I’ll just name a couple. I liked the Glass Castle and The Truth About Forever is like my favorite Dessen novel. I didn’t really liked either of the Rowell novels but I’m in the minority so hopefully you like those! Although I’d categorize the Heroes of Olympus books as a Middle Grade book, House of Hades was still pretty good although I didn’t like Blood of Olympus.
