Hi! I hope you guys have been doing well. Lately, I’ve been on a roll with scheduling these 2015 award/tag posts, haven’t I (once a week due to Joey‘s suggestion)? I’m pretty proud of myself actually. Anyway, this Saturday it’s the Beautiful Blogger Award. I was nominated by Alex at Alextheshadowgirl, Erika at Erika in Bookventureland, Nicay at The Nerdy Side of a Queen, Giovanna at Book Coma, Shealea at The Bookshelf Bitch, Yasmin and Paige at The Wild Readers. Thank you for thinking of me ladies!
Note: This is a 2015 award, meaning I was first nominated in 2015. I’m just trying to go through all the awards and tags from my 2015 queue. But I am an tag/award free blog in that I won’t be doing any more tags/awards after I go through the 2015 drafts. Sorry for the confusion!
THE RULES –
- Link to the blogger who took the time to nominate you.
- List seven random things about yourself.
- Nominate seven creative, beautiful bloggers.
- Notify the amazing people that you nominated for the award.
7 Facts About Me –
I’ve been doing so many award posts lately, I think I’m running out of unique facts. So why not do favorites this time?
asdfghjkl; I love this so much > general favorite > I really like a lot
- Favorite weather: hot but breezy > rainy > fresh fallen snow
- Favorite color: blue > white > purple
- Favorite Studio Ghibli movie: Howl’s Moving Castle > Spirited Away > Princess Mononoke
- Favorite film: Pride and Prejudice > The Dark Knight Rises > The Imitation Game
- Favorite Asian drama: Legend of the Condor Heroes > Bu Bu Jing Xin > It’s Okay, That’s Love
- Favorite TV show: Sherlock > The Vampire Diaries (only up to season 4 though) > Reign
- Favorite anime/manga: Attack on Titan > Skip Beat > Nana
I Nominate –
I’m honestly not sure who has or hasn’t done this around the blogosphere. Some of these bloggers may have already received and posted their post for this award, but I’m just going to add my vote the hat. These girls have really deserved it; they’re beautiful inside and out. They’ve been really kind and supportive towards me and my blog. I’m so glad I was able to meet them!
- Ari at The Drama Bear
- Joan at Fiddler Blue
- Kat at Life and Other Disasters
- Lois at My Midnight Musing
- Maria at Marwhal Reads
- Samantha at Reed’s Reads and Reviews
- Veda at Bookzillan Society
So, that’s it! Thank you guys for reading. Please let me know if we share any favorites so that we can fangirl/fanboy together! Have a wonderful day! 😀

Haha that’s AMAZING! Can’t wait for season 2 to air. Though I’ve read ahead on the manga part… 😉

I love Howl’s Moving Castle and Spirited Away!! My two other favorites are My Neighbor Totoro and The Secret World of Arrietty. 😀

My Neighbor Totoro is such a classic. I haven’t seen The Secret World of Arrietty despite being a huge Ghibler but it sounds like I need to soon!

Arrietty is amazing!! I’d definitely recommend it. 😀

Thank you so much for the nomination. You’re an absolutely sweetheart. ❤
One of my missions for this next month is to blitz through the list of tags I need to complete.
Attack of the Titans has been on my radar for a while now and it’s at the top of my anime/manga pile. Pride and Prejudice will always be a favourite of mine; no matter how many times I watch it I always swoon. 😀

You’re very welcome, Lois! You really deserve it. ❤ And oh my gosh, watch Attack on Titan, please. It’s pretty awesome. And Pride and Prejudice the movie (and BBC series) is a popular favorite for good reason. Are you going to watch Pride and Prejudice and Zombies? I’m seriously contemplating going to see it. XD

Oh my gosh I just started watching Sherlock and I’m already on Series 3 and have a Pinterest board with about 100 pins. You might even say I’m Sher-locked XD sigh

Hehe, that’s so cute. 😉 And gah, I honestly love anything Benedict Cumberbatch is in. I’m a cumbercookie after all. 😛

Ok, I finished series three, lamented over the fact that the next series won’t be out until NEXT YEAR, and am starting over from series one XD Ha, I think I’ve been convinced to watch more of his movies after seeing how good he is in Sherlock 🙂

Well let me know when you’ve sunken deep into the Benedict fandom. Then I can spam you some videos. 😉

Please do, I think I might’ve XD

I’m pretty sure I’ve seen every possible video that has Benedict in it. But these are my absolute favorites so far. :3 Benedict and penguins, him and Keira Knightley (love their off screen obvious friendship), him impersonating Alan Rickman (RIP) (all of his imitations are pretty epic though), and best yet, the moment where he’s utterly embarrassed by us cumbercookies. Enjoy, Sohini! 😉

Thanks so much Summer! Funnily enough I’ve already seen three out of the four, and I was actually going to ask you if you’d seen the last one, as I only watched it today and found it hilarious 😀 I think my favourite has to be the penguin one… “Pangwangs” XD

Thanks for the tag Summer! Hooray to Studio Ghibli films! I personally love Spirited Away, Kiki’s Delivery Service, and Grave of the Fireflies (the pain…).
I’m so excited for season 2 of Attack on Titan!!! Aaah!! The first was such a cliffhanger and this anime is just great for binge-watching xD

I still haven’t watched Kiki even though I know it’s a huge Ghibli classic. I remember back in the early 2000s I would see the trailer for it in all the Disney movies I watched then. And YESSS. We’ll definitely have to watch season 2 together! 😉

Howl’s Moving Castle and Spirited Away are my top favourite Studio Ghibli movies too! Whispers of the Heart takes the third slot, but Princess Mononoke is also up there for me 🙂 It also holds a special place in my heart because it was my first Studio Ghibli movie that I’ve ever watched ❤

I think I would have chose Whispers of the Heart in fourth place. I adore the storyline for that one (honestly I love all of them so much; I’m such a ghibler). I was pretty late in joining the Studio Ghibli fandom though. I actually didn’t see my first one (Spirited Away) until I was in high school! :3

omg omg omg. DO I SEE STUDIO GHIBLI ON HERE?! pops head round corner Hi there, fellow ghibler XD I love Howl’s Moving Castle so much, even better than the book, at times. Arrietty, too, and it has the most beautiful imagery. Spirited Away always holds a special place in my heart for being my favourite childhood film (though I suppose watching a girl’s parents get turned into pigs won’t be very, uh, pleasing for a child to watch. But I was weird.) Lovely post ❤

Thanks so much, Nirvana! And oh my gosh, hurray for both being ghiblers. There’s so much to love about Studio Ghibli films. The character, imaginations, art, etc. I also really love Whispers of the Heart! And I want to see When Marnie Was There soon!

I feel you on not having any idea what facts to list! But I love your way of listing favourites. Sherlock is absolutely fabulous, and OH you watch Bu Bu Jing Xin? I do so love Chinese historical dramas, if only for the costumes and setpieces 😀
LikeLiked by 1 person
Oh my gosh, I had no idea you watched Asian historical dramas sometimes. We must talk about that sometime!! I really loved the outfits in Bu Bu Jing Xin and Cecelia Liu has such a beautiful baby face. I can’t believe she and Nicky Wu are now married in real life. So happy a fictional OTP has become a real one. 😀
